OUR STORY
With a name that sounds like it’s plucked out of a fantasy novel (in fact, it is), Forre Sterra is quite a wondrous but fitting moniker for a band that, on the one hand, is very keen on writing beautiful, infectious melodies, and on the other hand never shies away from adding surprising and even weird elements to their energetic rock songs.
Originating from the Netherlands around brothers Lennert & Milan Klaui, Forre Sterra saw the light of day in 2020. Longtime schoolfriend Mike Huijbregts was quick to join, and in 2021 they made their debut with the upbeat, catchy For You .
For You was quickly followed up with LP Life In A Fishbowl. The record saw the band trying more experimental flourishes on songs like Lost Highway and Evil Inside – the latter even featured a Gregorian Choir. The band hit the road extensively with their new material and played shows at the Kasteeltuinconcerten, Plugged Festival & the Cacaofabriek.
In 2024, the band released their sophomore record Dirfters, a concept album dealing with the theme of growing apart, to glowing reviews. Second single Easy garnered airplay on 3FM and Omroep Brabant, but most importantly, the band was invited to play at the renowned Cavern Club in Liverpool, where once their heroes The Beatles graced the stage. With guitarist Leo Lucas added to the line-up and new music underway, 2026 is shaping up to be another exciting year for the band.
